AVI below shows the challenging seeing conditions (clouds etc) I had when observing this transit of Mercury Nov. 8 2006. Only the beginning was visible from my location. I was able to take two very brief avi's and obtain images from them, which are displayed below.
I observed the beginning stages of the transit, first through fourth contact and did not observe any 'teardrop' effect upon the end of fourth contact.
